Field Notes for the Wilderness | Practices for an Evolving Faith by Sarah Bessey
A book of letters from a friend, encouraging you in your journey/wanderings in the wilderness, a journey of evolving faith.
Silver Alert by Lee Smith
Fun book to read. Funny, too. The characters have great personalities and I liked it was set in Key West, where I had lived back when I was in 6th and 7th grade. It gave the book a colorful background.
Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride
Highly recommend. Great story and characters and writing!

The list, my star rating, and some notes. In 2018 I started trying to keep a count and list of all the books I read in a year, in addition to the longer entries about particular books.
Zero at the Bone by Christian Wiman
Good book. And it’s about despair, which Christian Wiman is more than qualified to write about.
