Heaven, I'm in Heaven
Today those words kept singing in my mind. I don't know all the lyrics of the song, but I kept singing those beginning words, "Heaven, I'm in heaven..."
I arrived in Chicago last night. Barb and Jim picked me up at Midway. I'd flown Southwest, where I'd been able to snag that one seat with the extra legroom, so the flight was great. Barb and I had a glass of wine and a good visit before bed.
Then this morning Barb knocked on my door with breakfast in bed. That's when the song started, "Heaven, I'm in heaven..." After a luxurious breakfast in bed, we sat outside in Barb and Jim's little screened-in room in their backyard. It was heavenly, too. The weather was perfect, the birds were singing. Just lovely. Barb and I chatted, read, and visited again, all 3 of us went out to lunch at a nice little pub, their son Michael came over and it was a pleasure to talk with him, then barbecued steaks for dinner. What more could you ask for?
After dinner we watched a little bit of a show that is a family favorite of theirs, "Firefly." Looks pretty good. Randy and I will have to check it out. Barb and I checked in online, which we hadn't thought we could so that should make things easier tomorrow.
