Trailer living - in the driveway
Pretty much since the remodel started, we’ve been cooking and eating in our trailer, which is parked in our driveway. Once the family room furniture was covered for painting, we spent our evenings there, too, watching streaming channels from our computer. Two days ago I started working there. Yesterday, Randy started working there, too. And either tonight or tomorrow it looks like we’ll sleep there, too, at least for a few nights.
The trailer’s been a lifesaver! First because it has “hot and cold water laid on,” as Mrs. Honeychurch said to Freddy in “Room With a View” in the famous pond scene. With no kitchen and no hall bath, without the trailer I’d be getting hot water from our little master bath sink. Not feasible, really. Now we get up in the morning, Randy turns on the heat in the trailer, I make our breakfast, and we eat there. It’s great. Cozy.
Now we packed and moved all our belongings out so the workers can do the flooring. They’ve started painting, too, a white paint with gray tone. It’s going to be beautiful. After living in our cozy little trailer, it’ll feel like a mansion!
