Things I like and good thoughts
I ended up with this painting of my Grandma’s and I love it. The story I heard is that someone asked her why she painted these things so out of proportion—the roses bigger than the tree, the mountains smaller, and so on. Grandma said she painted what she liked. She painted mountains, a tree, a fence, and roses because she loved them.
It reminds me of the verse in Philippians 4.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
