Lunch with friends!
Today the big highlight of the day was lunch with the Meesters! We were passing through Gallup (New Mexico) so I texted Dan and Betsy just to see if we might be able to stop and say hi. They were just getting out of church and—bonus!—Henry and Ann were there, too, for Thijs’ 8th grade graduation. We met them for lunch at a BBQ place and it was so much fun. What amazing timing, right?!
From Gallup we went on to the border of New Mexico and into Texas. New Mexico is so beautiful. We love visiting it. We’re in a hotel in Amarillo now. I keep remembering just a few words of that country song that goes “Amarillo by morning…” Dumb. Anyway, looking forward to a good night’s sleep.
