I was reading this article (“How to Raise a ‘Warrior Queen’”) when this fragment of a sentence struck me. “…love solves very little of the most menacing and devastating problems.”

So true, isn’t it? Maybe “love conquers all” is comforting, but I think this statement is more realistic. As much as we would like to believe that the deep love we have for our family, friends, and others with whom we share this planet would guarantee those creatures’ safety and happiness, it just doesn’t.

All I can think of to do is continue loving them, continue to walk beside them, help wherever I can, pray, and leave the outcome to God.
