You don't have to carry the weight of the world

I read an article with a link to the song “Loosen.” It felt so good to me that I thought I would share it with you. The repetitiveness “works” for me. I love being reassured again and again, “You don't have to carry the weight of the world in your muscles and bones. Let go, let go, let go.” It’s a prayer, too. “Holy breath and holy name, will you ease this pain?”

God loves you. Let go. You don’t have to carry the weight of the world—God carries it for you. Let go.

Loosen - Amy Halpert

Loosen, loosen, baby

You don’t have to carry

The weight of the world in your muscles and bones

Let go, let go, let go

Holy breath, and holy name

Will you ease, will you ease this pain

Oh holy breath, and holy name, will you ease this pain?

Oh holy breath, will you ease this pain

Will you ease this pain

Will you ease this pain

Loosen, loosen, baby

You don’t have to carry

The weight of the world in your muscles and bones

Let go, let go, let go...
