Bryce…oh wow!

Over and over while we were at Bryce National Park, we’d hear people walk up to the safety fence, look over, and say, “Oh wow!” The beauty made you gasp.

We had thought we would go to a different campground closer to Bryce for the 3 days we planned for visiting that park but when we looked at the forecast it predicted overnight temps like 14 degrees. The place we were at near Zion was cool and windy but nothing like that. So, even though it was about 2 hours from Bryce we decided to stay there. One bonus for that decision was we got to drive through Zion around 4 times since that was the route to Bryce.

We drove to Bryce the first time on Tuesday but it was snowing and cloudy so we decided to come back on Wednesday. Good decision. It was gorgeous.

The next day we headed home. What an awesome trip!

Not sure which these are but I love birches and aspens with their paper-white bark.

This was what we saw at our first turn-off and it made us gasp.

I tried to make a video of the awe you feel when you walk up and look down.

Cute little snowmen some kiddos must have made.

You can imagine all sorts of things in the hoodoo shapes. That one on the right kind of looks like a face, don’t you think?

It was sunny and clear but very cold!

It goes on forever.

An overlook of the “amphitheater.”

A cool legend.

Following a lot of trucks on the road home.
