Examen: An Ignatian prayer called the Examen is a daily practice that has made my relationship with God closer and more meaningful. You can join me in it by video or podcast. There is a long version (12 minutes—with explanations about the prompts) and a shorter one (6 minutes—with just the prompts).

What is this?? A while back I decided to pray that my friends and family would feel God's love, and send them an email when I prayed so they'd know and be encouraged. Two things I try to do:-- Encourage you with a reminder of God's love. My goal is to avoid anything where the response is "I should..." Just a short reflection of God's love.-- Pray for you. I'll pray with each email, and please reply to me with anything you'd specifically like me to pray for you. I'll keep it confidential, don't worry. You can opt-out at any time. Use the “Unsubscribe” button below.

If you would like to send me specific prayer requests. I will gladly pray with you. Email me at mavis at moonfamily.cc. I'll keep all communication confidential.

I blog about a lot of other things, too. If you’d like to subscribe and receive an email each time I blog, subscribe at www.mavismoon.com or in Substack. (choose the "None" option--all my writing is free).

Apple Podcasts - Apple Podcasts Connect

Upload video into Descript project

For YouTube you can upload with a .URL and then Export just the audio

I have an extension for Chrome of Video Download for Facebook. If I hover on the video page, wait a bit, a blue download button shows up, or I can click on the icon for the extension and it downloads the video. Then I can bring it into Descript.

To download a Boxcast video, follow these steps:

Go to your Boxcast Dashboard and click on "Past Broadcasts".

Select the broadcast you wish to download.

On the right-hand side, click on "Download" or "Export Recording".

A pop-up window will appear; click "Generate Download"12.Alternatively, you can use youtube-dl to download the video

  5. It will prompt you to drag into screen or press space to record entire screen

  6. Press record for countdown

  7. Play chapter

  8. press box in Descript record icon to stop recording

  9. Publish, and export the audio.

  10. Then upload audio file into page

This is supposed to work but it doesn’t seem to:

Use MS browser
Go to the Apple Podcast webpage of the episode

  • Right-click anywhere in the page and choose: "View page source"

  • Press Ctrl + F (or on Mac: ⌘ + F ) to search, and search for "assetUrl"

  • The URL of the audio file will be immediately following, usually ending with ".mp3". Copy and paste this URL into a new tab

  • Ctrl + S to save! (or on Mac: ⌘ + S )

Add an audio file with all the tags and titles and should be on Apple in 24 hours.

Hi there,

Dustin from our Portland office here. Happy to help out today.

It looks like you're seeing an error when attempting to submit your podcast's RSS feed to Apple podcasts.

Screenshots are fantastic for troubleshooting this type of issue, so thank you for including that.

In this case the URL you're submitting isn't providing an RSS feed, which is why Apple podcasts is giving you that error message. For context, an RSS feed is generated by a blog page as a whole, not from a singular post on that blog. The RSS feed includes information about all of the posts on that blog. In the case of podcasts each post functions as an episode of your podcast. That said, the URL for your blog's RSS feed would be this:

https://www.mavismoon.com/blog?format=rss (now it is fixed to: https://www.mavismoon.com/podcast?format=rss

That said, you'll want to be sure that your podcast has its own blog page separate from your regular blog. Once you've set up a new blog page to use for podcasting, adding new posts to that blog will add a new episode to your podcast's RSS feed. I'll link our guide on podcasting with Squarespace below, for reference:

Podcasting with Squarespace overview

I’ll also include a link to our guide on setting up a blog page to host your podcast in case you'd like to follow along during that process:

I hope this email finds you well and proves helpful! Don't hesitate to reach back out with any more questions you may have. We're here 24/7 and always happy to help.

Best, Dustin B.

Videos - best to upload to YouTube and use that URL. Naming convention in YouTube: Blog-Tag-NameOfVideo. Example: Blog-Remodel-Ceiling fan in action.

The forms for mailing list subscriptions are in My Drive, named “Blog Requests “ and “Blog Family Stories Form.” To connect them, edit the form on the Home page (under Not Linked in list of pages), and the family stories page under “Everything” in the Main Navigation, disconnect and put in the name of the spreadsheet again.

Adding code to make “Load more” button in the Books landing page summary block.
